Thermal Energy Engineering Lab

Kurose Laboratory

Our laboratory studies experiments and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for heat transfer engineering, aiming to improve the performance of heat exchangers and thermal transport devices. From everyday air-conditioning systems to the cooling of electronics and batteries, efficient heat transport and control are essential challenges in modern society. Through visualization, measurement, and CFD simulations, we seek to understand thermal-fluid phenomena and develop new cooling and thermal transport technologies.
